PBILD PROGRAM ASSISTS WITH EMPLOYMENT

Bujanovac – Тhe Peace-Building and Inclusive Local Development (PBILD) program, which is a program of various UN agencies that is implemented in South Serbia’s Jablanica and Pcinj districts, presented yesterday in Bujanovac the program for employing young and vulnerable persons from South Serbia. The overall value of the said program is fifteen million dinars.

The European Union Supports the European Partnership with Municipalities Program (Progress) with 14.1 million euros, the Swiss Government with 2.5 million euros, while the Share of the Government of the Republic of Serbia in it is 1.5 million euros

BOSILEGRAD - The largest portion of the funds, which amounts to 480,000 euros, will be invested in construction of the local infrastructure in Leskovac’s Green Zone. Thanks to the investments made by the city of Leskovac, the Ministry of Environment, Mining and Spatial Planning and other partners, the conditions for making new investments will be provided, which should ensure the opening of new working places and improve the conditions for the marketing of regional agricultural produce.

MOST JOBS OFFERED IN LESKOVAC

Leskovac – 21 projects from the field of public works are being implemented in the Jablanica district through the National Employment Office (NEO), while 273 people were hired for them. The aggregate value of the said public works is 37.9 million dinars.  Ten public works are from the field of protection and improvement of the environment, five of them have to do with the infrastructure, whereas six of them are from the sphere of socio-humanitarian and cultural activities.

As part of the project “I, too, like Medvedja”, the community center in Medvedja is going to hold an exhibition of paintings, which were done in art workshops, on July 21, 2011.

15 000 GUEST WORKERS EXPECTED TO ARRIVE IN SOUTH SERBIA

Bujanovac – The community services in Presevo and Bujanovac are going to have prolonged working hours until August 15, 2011, so that they could meet the needs of Presevo and Bujanovac residents that temporarily work abroad and that wish to spend their vacations in their home towns. Over 15,000 Albanians from Presevo and Bujanovac are expected to spend their summer holidays in their homeland.

SCHOLARSHIPS TO NOVI SAD UNIVERSITY AWARDED TO THE YOUNG FROM PRESEVO AND BUJANOVAC

Minister Milan Markovic, the President of the Coordination Body, Miroslav Veskovic, the President of Novi Sad University and Andor Deli, the Provincial Secretary for Education, received and greeted in Novi Sad eleven students from Presevo and Bujanovac, who are going to study there.
