The main event of the regional exchange of young people from Bujanovac and Obrenovac, which takes place within the "Unpacking 2014/15" project, will be held at the Bujanovac Youth Office at 12 am on Friday, January 30 (7, Karadjordja Petrovica Street).

Yesterday, Zoran Stankovic, the President of the Coordination Body for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, held first talks with the new leadership of the municipality of Medvedja, which was recently elected following the sudden death of a longtime Mayor of Medvedja Slobodan Draskovic.

Bujanovac-Presevo – “The biggest problem in Bujanovac is the creation of new jobs”, said the Deputy Mayor of Bujanovac Stojanca Arsic, indicating that the local self-government "has a problem with instilling in the minds of the people the fact that there will be no more jobs in the municipal administration and public sector.”

Vranje – The commander of the Army Major General Milosav Simovic handed to the prioress of the “Prohor Pcinjski” monastery, Stefanida, a contribution for the restoration of the monastery.

Vranje - After the great floods recently affected Vranje and the entire South Serbia, the situation is currently under control and the damage is being determined.

Vranje - During a tour of the “Prvonek” dam, Minister Ilic said that the most difficult situation was in Vladicin Han, where landslides were reactivated and where a large number of houses were threatened.

Bujanovac - Serbian members of the municipal committee for renaming streets in Bujanovac agreed to change the names of 22 streets in the city, mainly of those where Albanians live, said today Miodrag Milkovic, one of the members of the municipal committee for renaming streets.  

Bujanovac – A car that had been seized during the arrest of traffickers in human beings was stolen not far from the police station in Bujanovac. According to Chief of Police Department in Vranje, Sladjan Velinovic, the car, which had been found without a driver and the accompanying documentation, was brought close to the station.   The stolen vehicle was parked near the police station for several days.   

Presevo – The customs officers at Presevo railway station found ten citizens of Syria and Algeria who had illegally tried to cross the border with Serbia in order to reach the countries of Western Europe.
