Bujanovac, Presevo, Medvedja – As part of the “European PROGRES“ development program activities, which are aimed at supporting gender equality and economic empowerment of women through the creation of new jobs,  a public call for awarding grants for staring up business owned and run by women was announced. The European Union and the Government of Switzerland allocated a total of 400, 000 euros to support 40 projects. The public call will be open until July 24, 2015.

Presevo - Defense Minister Bratislav Gasic said yesterday that the Serbian citizens had no cause for concern because of the increased number of migrants, since the country's security boidies took   maximum care of everything.

Medvedja – The average paid off net earnings in the month of May in the municipality of Medvedja amounted to a staggering 58, 217 dinars, which is 2.7 times more than those of the previous month.

Presevo, Bujanovac – The Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development  Srdjan Verbic. PhD, and his associates, spoke recently with the Mayors of Presevo and Bujanovac, Ragmi Mustafa and Nagip Arifi, as well as with the President of the Albanian National Council Jonuz Musliju.

Bujanovac - Customs officers at the Ristovac railway station, which is near Bujanovac, found 23 Afghan immigrants who had tried to illegally cross the Serbian state border in a freight train. 

Presevo – The police in Presevo arrested B. A. (45) from the Presevo area on suspicion that he had committed the crime of illegal border crossing and smuggling in human beings.

Presevo - During her yesterday's visit to Presevo, Brankica Jankovic, the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality, didn’t establish that the local population discriminated against refugees who arrived in Serbia from war zones, or that they tried to deceive them in various ways.

Bujanovac – The “Elhan Commerce” construction company from Bujanovac is one of 180 companies and individuals that are part of the project “The Construction of 100 Houses”, which is aimed at building houses for the poor and families in which people with disabilities live, said the owner of the company, Nedzat Behljuli.

Vranjska Spa - Children's Summer Festival began in Vranjska Spa in early June. According to Slavica Sotirović, MD, the President of the municipality of Vranjska Spa, this has already become a traditional event, while it is aimed at making it possible for children to socialize, watch   children's plays in Vranjska Spa and engage in the activities that are tailored to children’s needs.
