The “Center for Positive Changes” from Presevo, in cooperation with the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, implements the “Best Book of the Young” project. 

As part of the “Together against Drugs” project, the “Future” NGO from Veliki Trnovac, with the support of the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, made a short movie entitled “Say NO”.

The Center for Daily Stay, which was established by the Association of Parents of the Children and Young People with Special Needs from Presevo, began operating last week. With the support of the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, the said Association adapted and adjusted the premises of the “Ibrahim Keljmendi” elementary school, so that they would be suitable for work with the children and young people with special needs.

COLLECTIVE CENTERS ARE CLOSED THANKS TO THE FINACIAL ASSISTANCE PROVIDED THROUGH THE “PEACE-BUILDING AND INCLUSIVE LOCAL DEVELOPMENT” (PBILD) PROGRAM Owing to a joint  UN  “Peace-building and Inclusive Local Development” (PBILD) program, the internally displaced persons staying at the “Athens” hotel, which is the last collective center in the territory of Leskovac where 67 persons had found  shelter, are going to have at their  disposal three options for finding a permanent housing arrangement in Serbia.

As part of  the Bujanovac OK Junior’s multiethnic project “Volleyball School”, which is financially supported by the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for  the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, the final volleyball tournament was held last weekend.

The Center for Multicultural Education from Presevo, to which the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja had approved the funds for establishing a music school, organized a concert that was given on the occasion of a successful completion of the school year.

As part of the project “The Achievement of Tolerance and Integration by Means of Journalism”, which was implemented by both the “Crescent” and “Center for Tolerance and Integration of South Serbia” organizations from Bujanovac and which was funded by the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, leaflets “Why do I like Bujanovac” were printed.

Opportunity for Four Municipalities in South Serbia: Certificates of Business Environment Issued As part of the National Alliance for Local Economic Development’s (NALED) program, the cities of Subotica, Vranje and Leskovac, as well as the municipality of Bujanovac, were awarded the certificates of favorable business environment.

William Infante Visited Bujanovac During his visit to South Serbia, William Infante, UN Resident Coordinator in Serbia, talked with Saip Kamberi, President of the Municipality of Bujanovac, about the cooperation of  the UN and local self - governments regarding the assistance with the remaining 4,823 internally displaced persons and refugees that live in the territory of the municipality of Bujanovac.

At the initiative of the Coordination Body, representatives of the agricultural cooperative “Jug Levosoje” talked yesterday about  increasing the milk  production capacities in Bujanovac with Slobodan Teofanov, Assistant Minister of Agriculture, representatives of the Sabac – based dairy plant and Nenad Djurdjevic, Director of the Coordination Body’s Office.
