SERBIAN AND ALBANIAN SCHOOLCHILDREN TOGETHER IN GERMANY Around thirty students and teachers of secondary schools “Sveti Sava” and “Sezai Suroi” from Bujanovac paid a seven-day visit to students of the “Caroline Breitinger” school, which is located in the major city of the southern German Hoenloe district, which is the third largest district in Germany.  Students from Bujanovac participated in the “Partnerships in Action” project, which is implemented by the German and US governments, within which over 1,500 students and teachers from 60 secondary schools for economics from Serbia and Germany should associate with one another and study together.

UN Provides Support for Development of Southern Serbian Municipalities The municipalities and cities of Jablanica and Pcinj Districts are going to get half a million US dollars from the UN Peace-Building and Inclusive Local Development (PBILD) Program, which is implemented through the UN in South Serbia, it was said in Lebane yesterday.

YOUNG FROM THE SOUTH IN THE NORTH Representatives of Youth Offices from the southern and south-eastern part of Serbia stayed in Zrenjanin over the past few days.  They were on a study visit there, which was organized as part of the OSCE Mission to Serbia’s program, which refers to providing support to the young from the municipalities with ethnic minority communities. So far, the young from Dimitrovgrad, Bujanovac, Bosilegrad and Presevo have visited Sermski Karlovci, Kikinda, Senta, Sombor, Backi Petrovac and Zrenjanin.

AGREEMENT ON MULTIETHNIC GOVERNMENT IN BUJANOVAC SIGNED

Milan Markovic, President of the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja and Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, along with representatives of   the Serbian and Albanian political parties, signed, yesterday, the Agreement on Establishment of the Multiethnic Government in Bujanovac.

MILAN MARKOVIC, PRESIDENT OF THE COORDINATION BODY, SIGNS THE AGREEMENT ON ESTABLISHMENT OF THE MULTIETHNIC GOVERNMENT IN BUJANOVAC Milan Markovic, Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government and President of the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, along with representatives of the Serbian and Albanian political parties, is going to sign the Agreement on Establishment of the Multiethnic Government in Bujanovac at the Bujanovac Press Center at 11 am on Thursday, October 21, 2010. The signing of the Agreement will be followed by a press-conference.

IPLIC WITH THE ALBANIAN NATIONAL COUNCIL Svetozar Ciplic, Minister of Human and Minority Rights, said yesterday in Bujanovac that the issue of recognizing Pristina University diplomas was one of the key issues that the Albanian National Council and the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights would be dealing with.

On Gender Equality   Sombor – During a three-day visit to Sombor, eighteen young people from Presevo and Bosilegrad, who are from 17 to 23 years old, were educated about gender equality and youth activities. The said event was under the auspices of the OSCE Mission to Serbia, while it was organized in co-operation with the Youth Office in Sombor. The hosts of the event made an effort to show the young from South Serbia the most beautiful parts of their city, while the visitors were impressed the most by the National Theatre.

Open Call: The Ministry for Human and Minority Rights announces an internship programme within the Ministry for Human and Minority Rights

For candidates who have studied law, economics, political or social sciences at the secondary or university level. The Ministry for Human and Minority rights will organize a programme for up to five (5) candidates to participate in a six month internship at either the Ministry for Human and Minority Rights or the Provincial Secretariat of Vojvodina.
