PROMOTION OF SCHOLARSHIPS IN PRESEVO AND BUJANOVAC (VIDEO)

You are hereby invited to attend the event of promotion of the scholarship program for young people from the municipalities of Presevo and Bujanovac who would like to study at Novi Sad University’s faculties. The said event will take place in Presevo and Bujanovac on Thursday, February 28, 2013. The event is scheduled to commence at 12 am at the secondary technical school “Presevo”, where a film on scholarship holders will be screened.

RED CROSS OF SERBIA PROVIDED AID TO VULNERABLE PEOPLE IN THE MUNICIPALITIES OF BUJANOVAC AND PRESEVO

Belgrade - The Red Cross of Serbia provided, today, aid to the population affected by floods in Bujanovac and Presevo. According to the statement issued by the Red Cross of Serbia, the aid consists of 170 family hygiene packages, 170 liters of concentrated disinfectant, 130 pairs of rubber boots and six sets for maintaining collective hygiene.

WATER IS WITHDRAWING FROM THE PCINJ DISTRICT

Bujanovac and Presevo – The situation in the Pcinj district, which is afflicted by floods the most, is normalizing, said the governor of the southern Serbian district Budimir Mihajlovic. However, he also said that there was a fear of more flooding if it rained again.

COORDINATION BODY’S EMERGENCY AID

A delegation of the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja visited the flooded villages of Levosoje and Oslare near Bujanovac and delivered to the threatened population emergency aid, which consisted of the most basic food and gas bottles.

IMPLEMENTATION OF THE"SPORTS IN SCHOOLS" PROJECT

А delegation of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, headed by the Secretary of State for Sports, Predrag Perunicic, visited the municipalities of Presevo and Bujanovac, which will be included in the "Sports in Schools" project, the goal of which is to bring schoolchildren back to school gyms.

Open competition for scholarships for enrolment in the study courses held at the University of Novi Sad 2013

On Saturday, the "Horizons" organization unveiled, at the community center in Bujanovac, an exhibition of photographs taken by young people from Bujanovac. The exhibition is part of the "Photography, the Best Evidence of Multiethnic Life" project, which is funded by the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja.
