Agreement on Validation of Pristina University Diplomas Most Beneficial for Albanians from Preshevo and Bujanovac

Borislav Stefanovic and Edita Tahiri, Heads of Belgrade and Pristina’s negotiation teams, stated yesterdays that they had basically agreed to acknowledge university and school diplomas, as well as that the said agreement would most likely be reached during the following round of talks, which would take place at the end of this month.

The principal agreement includes certification of diplomas, which would be done by a specific competent international organization or academic institution, which doesn’t support either side and about which Belgrade and Pristina reach an agreement.

Representatives of Albanians from South Serbia have been insisting on this issue for several years, since, according to their data, around 160 to 200 students from Presevo and Bujanovac enroll in Pristina University’s courses every year.
