PBILD PROGRAM ASSISTS WITH EMPLOYMENT

Bujanovac – Тhe Peace-Building and Inclusive Local Development (PBILD) program, which is a program of various UN agencies that is implemented in South Serbia’s Jablanica and Pcinj districts, presented yesterday in Bujanovac the program for employing young and vulnerable persons from South Serbia. The overall value of the said program is fifteen million dinars.  

The aforementioned PBILD program provides training and employment opportunities to vulnerable persons that are registered at the National Employment Office’s branches in Vranje and Leskovac, whereas the program for employing young persons is aimed at providing training and employment opportunities to vulnerable people registered at the National Employment Office’s branch in Leskovac.  

The above - mentioned programs are going to provide employment to around 160 young and vulnerable persons.  

The employment programs are implemented by the National Employment Office’s branches in Vranje and Leskovac, while the funds for implementing the programs were provided through the employment component of the PBILD program. The public invitation for taking part in the programs or in active employment measures is posted on the National Employment Office and PBILD websites.   

Entitled to apply are all economic entities with any form of ownership that were registered at the Serbian Business Registers Agency at least six months prior to submitting their application. Other economic entities may also apply provided they are registered at least six months prior to submitting the application and provided they meet other requirements from the public invitation.  

The Peace-Building and Inclusive Local Development (PBILD) program is an initiative worth 8 million US dollars that is funded by the Governments of Norway, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland, with the aim of improving South Serbia’s skilled resources capacities for inclusive, peaceful and sustainable development. The PBILD program is focused on the following four fields, which are as follows: increased community cohesion and human resources, improved access to public services for everyone, increased economic development and improved capacities for handling migration issues.
