CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR LOCAL ASSISTANTS THAT ARE TO BE ENGAGED IN THE PROJECT ENTITLED THE IMPLEMENTATION OF RECOMMENDATIONS FOR IMPROVING THE TEACHING OF SERBIAN AS A SECOND LANGUAGE IN PRESEVO, BUJANOVAC AND MEDVEDJA

The Coordination Body’s Office invites interested parties to apply for the position of a local assistant engaged in the project entitled the Implementation of Recommendations for Improving the Teaching Serbian as a Second Language in Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, which is funded by the British Embassy in Belgrade, the Office of the High Commissioner on National Minorities and the European PROGRESS program.

FIRST SAFE HOUSE IN SOUTH SERBIA COMPLETED

Vranje – At yesterday's session of the Assembly of the town of Vranje, the mayor of the town Zoran Antic said that the construction works for the Safe House in Vranje had come to an end and that it would become operational by the end of the year.  According to him, water-supply workers are expected to complete all the tasks in the next seven to ten days, when the beginning of the operation of the Safe House in Vranje would be officially marked.  

FIRST PRIZE FOR THE ”VELVET HEART” FILM MADE BY PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS FROM MEDVEDJA

The “Velvet Heart” short film, which was made by primary school pupils from the village of Lecce, near Medvedja, won the 1st. prize in a competition for short films of the Anti -Corruption Agency on the subject “When we don’t follow the rules , then ....”.  

POLICE OFFICERS SEIZED ALMOST A TON OF TOBACCO IN PRESEVO

The police found in a jeep, which was parked in the yard of a family house in Presevo, 837 pounds of cut tobacco without the supporting documentation.

MILLIONS INVESTED IN SOUTH SERBIA

Bujanovac - Zoran Stankovic, the President of the Coordination Body for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, said in Bujanovac that over the past 14 years,  the Government of the Republic of Serbia, through the said body, had invested in the three municipalities around 6.3 billion dinars, while the international donors had invested  around 35 million euros.

COORDINATION BODY MARKS 14 YEARS SINCE ITS ESTABLISHMENT

The Coordination Body for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja was established at a joint meeting of the Government of the FR (Federal Republic) of Yugoslavia and the Provisional Government of Serbia, which was held in Bujanovac on December 16, 2000.

PUBLIC CALL FOR SUPPORT TO CLUSTERS ANNOUNCED

The European PROGRESS announced a public call for funding projects for providing support to clusters to introduce innovative practices and access the common market.
