INFO SESSION ON SUPPORT PROGRAM FOR MEDIA AND CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS

The USAID's Media Sustainability Enhancement Project issued a new call for the media and civil society organizations dealing with the media on November 7, 2019, which we have already informed you of on our website.

NIS: WORKSHOP ON VIOLENCE AND DISCRIMINATION

A workshop for all members of civil society organizations from Serbia, as well as for informal groups and human rights activists dealing with the protection of persons who have experienced violence and discrimination, support systems and cooperation with institutions dealing with these issues, will be held in Nis from November 26 to 28, 2019.

GRANTS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF INNOVATIVE PRODUCTS, SERVICES AND TECHNOLOGIES

The Innovation Fund’s programs - the Early Development Program and the Science and Economy Cooperation Program, which envisage the award of grants for the development of innovative products, services and technologies, were presented at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce. The call for participating in the programs is open until December 31, 2019.

THEY COLLECTED ASSISTANCE FOR THE STUDENTS OF THEIR SCHOOL

Medvedja – The staff of the “Gornja Jablanica” elementary school from Medvedja organized a humanitarian campaign to collect assistance for the students of their school.  A lot of wardrobe, food, toys, footwear and school equipment were collected during the campaign, which will be delivered...

SERBIAN ACADEMY OF SCIENCES AND ARTS’ (SASA’S) INSTITUTE OF MUSICOLOGY CONDUCTED A SURVEY ON GUSLE PLAYERS IN MEDVEDJA AND LESKOVAC

Меdvedja – Senior research associates Danka Lajic Mihajlovic, PhD, from the SASA’s Institute of Musicology and Smiljana Djordjevic Belic, PhD, from the SASA’s Institute of Literature and Art conducted research within the project Protection of Singing alongside Gusle between the "Center" and "Periphery" in the Municipalities of Medvedja and Leskovac.

NEW LIGHTING IN BUJANOVAC

Bujanovac – The installation of LED lighting started in Bujanovac, which was first obtained by Kralja Milutina Street, followed by part of Josif Janjic Street and a few streets around the main one, which were left for the final stage of installation works.

HUMANITARIAN CAMPAIGN FOR DUNJA

Bujanovac – The “Indigo” Children and Youth Group, with the support of the UNHCR (UN High Commissioner for Refugees) and in cooperation with the Bujanovac-based “Dituria” association, organized a humanitarian campaign to raise funds for the expectoration device needed to treat Dunja Milanovic from Bujanovac. This was done in agreement with her parents.

LUMP SUM TAXPAYERS CAN NOW CALCULATE TAX LIABILITIES FOUR YEARS IN ADVANCE

All lump sum taxpayers and those just planning to start a business will now be able to calculate their tax liabilities four years in advance on www.jpd.rs.

MUNICIPALITY OF MEDVEDJA TOOK FIRST PLACE IN THE CONTEST FOR "MUNICIPALITY OF EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES"

Medvedja – The Municipality of Medvedja won the first place in the contest for the "Municipality/ City of Equal Opportunities," which was organized by the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality, with the support of the Royal Norwegian Embassy.
