“JOINT RESPONSE TO VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN IN PCINJ DISTRICT”

The first professional workshop entitled "A Joint Response to Violence against Women in Pcinj District" was recently held in Vranje. The said workshop was organized by the Helpline from Vranje, as part of the program of operation and creation of a regional network of NGOs and institutions to end violence against women in Pcinj District.

CITIZENS IN A MULTI-ETNIC ENVIRONMENT ARE SAFE

Belgrade - Over 88 percent of the population in the multiethnic communities of Medvedja, Prijepolje, Bac and Backa Palanka, feel safe in the place where they live, while more than 50 percent of them feel safer today than they did in the 90s, according to a survey of the Victimology Society of Serbia (VSS).

MINISTRY OF INTERIOR: THE MONUMENT TO THE KILLED POLICE OFFICERS IN THE CHURCH IN BUJANOVAC SPA

Belgrade - The Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia informs the public that the decision to move the monument to members of the Serbian police who were killed during the armed conflict from 2000 to 2002, from the place called Grope to the yard of St. John’s church in Bujanovac Spa, was made for several justifiable reasons, which are economic, security and practical ones.

PRESS RELEASE: ESTIMATED POPULATION IN THE MUNICIPALITIES OF PRESEVO, BUJANOVAC AND MEDVEDJA

The estimate of the number of inhabitants in the municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja was presented at the Government of the Republic of Serbia, in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, Kori Udovicki, PhD. The said event represents the completion of the process, which was initiated during the visit of the Serbian Deputy Prime Minister to Bujanovac on March 3, 2015.

COLLECTIVE CENTER FOR MIGRANTS OPENED IN PRESEVO

A collective reception center for migrants was opened in Presevo in the reconstructed building of the tobacco company. The migrants that arrive there will be able to obtain food, medical assistance, housing, as well as a special rooms for mothers with children.

MOWING AT THE VILLAGE OF MAROVAC

Medvedja – Owing to the fifteenth anniversary of the tourist event “Mowing at Marovac“, a few  dozen best mowers from Upper Jablanica gathered this year.  Their gathering at Marovac, which is the farthest mountain village in the municipality of Medvedja, was an opportunity for a sort of national gathering of hundreds of local residents and their descendants that are scattered around the world.

RAMADAN GALA DINNER FOR 2,000 WORSHIPERS HELD AT VELIKI TRNOVAC

Bujanovac - Organized by the "Caravan Bericeta" and under the slogan of "Brotherhood Knows No Boundaries," the Iftar, a Ramadan gala dinner for 2,000 worshipers from the municipalities of Bujanovac and Presevo was held in Bujanovac last night.
