Vranje – The results of the marketing of honey in the past few years show that honey is a great export opportunity of the Pcinj district, while the laboratory analyzes, which were were done in Germany and Italy, proved that the honey from that area was of ​​the highest possible quality in Serbia and in the Balkans.

Belgrade - President of the Coordination Body, Zoran Stankovic, said that South Serbia wasn’t a potential spot of conflicts, as it had previously been stated by Azem Vlasi, a Kosovo politician.

Medvedja – The municipality of Medvedja is part of the safer cities project, which is implemented by the United Nations PBILD program.  Thanks to this program, a technical secondary school in Medvedja is, today, one of the safest schools in the Jablanica district,  because it has got video surveillance, which will greatly facilitate the local self-government’s efforts to raise the general security to a higher level.

Leskovac – The People's Parliament implements a three-year project in South Serbia called “The Straightening of the Winding Drina River”, which aims to provide assistance in overcoming administrative and bureaucratic obstacles to  the citizens of 13 municipalities in the Jablanica and Pcinj districts.

Bujanovac, Presevo – The Swiss Ambassador to Serbia, Jean Daniel Ruch, met yesterday with representatives of local authorities in Bujanovac and Presevo. He talked with them about the economic development of South Serbia and said that Switzerland was keen on continuing to invest in the region. The Swiss Ambassador said that a continued dialogue with the Serbian government, with the assistance of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), was needed for solving the problems in South Serbia.

Bujanovac – The United Nations PBILD Program proclaimed that the municipality of Bujanovac was the best local self-government. As a reward for this, the municipality of Bujanovac was donated a jeep of the "Dacia" brand, which is worth 16, 000 dollars.
