Belgrade - Minister of Regional Development and Local Self-government, Verica Kalanovic, is to visit Presevo today, where she will participate in a panel discussion on economic and regional development of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja.

Mrs. Kalanovic will visit the Office of the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja in Presevo, and will, thereafter, meet with the Mayor of Presevo, Ragmi Mustafa, said the relevant ministry. She will also participate in the panel discussion "By Dialogue Against the Stereotypes of Us Being the Same", organized by the U.S. Agency for International Development under the project "The Initiative for Advocating Civil Society", which is run by the Institute for Sustainable Communities”, it was said in the Ministry’s statement.

The panel discussion is dedicated to strengthening democracy in the local community and to improving  the quality of life of the citizens in the municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja. It was also said in the ministry’s statement that the participants would be talking about the regional development, the economic status of these communities and the importance of local self-governments.
