BEST SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS FROM PRESEVO, BUJANOVAC AND MEDVEDJA VISITING BELGRADE

This is the fourth year in a row that  the best  secondary  school students from Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja have received scholarships from the Coordination Body. The Coordination Body’s scholarships, amounting to 6,000 dinars per month each,  were received by 231secondary school students – 129 of them from Presevo, 78 from Bujanovac and 24 from Medvedja.  When awarding the scholarships, priority was given to the children without one or both parents.

MR. STANKOVIC IN MEDVEDJA

Zoran Stankovic, the President of the Coordination Body for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, held a working meeting with William Infante,  the UN Resident Coordinator in Serbia. On that occasion, the President of the Coordination Body  informed Mr. Infante about the projects on which the  Coordination Body had previously worked , which include the construction of a building for the Faculty of Economics in Bujanovac, the awarding of  231 scholarships to secondary school students, the beginning of  the operation of the Serbian language school, which is attended by 305 students, and about  the allocation  of grants to small and medium-sized enterprises in Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, the total amount of which is 40 million dinars.

MR.STANKOVIC: THE CASE OF MONUMENT IN PRESEVO UNDERGOING LEGAL PROCEDURE

Source: Politika daily / Bujanovac – The President of the Coordination Body for South Serbia, Zoran Stankovic, said yesterday in Bujanovac that a decision on the monument to the Liberation Army of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja would be announced after it had been reached and that legal proceedings were underway, as criminal charges had been brought against the responsible persons.

PRESIDENT OF THE COORDINATION BODY’S FIRST VISIT TO SOUTH SERBIA’S MUNICIPALITIES

The President of the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja Prof. Zoran Stankovic, PhD, visited Presevo and Bujanovac yesterday and met with the Mayors Ragmi Mustafa and Nagip Arifi ,  heads of  the groups of councilors and with representatives of the political parties.

SCHOLARSHIPS FOR VULNERABLE ROMA SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

NORWAY HELPS SOUTH SERBIA

Nils Ragner Kamsvag, said yesterday at a meeting of the Board of Directors of the PBILD Program, which was held in Vranje, that it was most important for the local self-governments of Pcinj and Jablanica districts to "have strong leaders with clearly defined objectives, so that we could jointly and through partnership implement them.”  He added that Norway had supported several projects in South Serbia that promoted economic development.

GOLD AND COPPER IN THE VILLAGE OF TULARE, NEAR MEDVEDJA

Source: Jugpress  / Medvedja - 800,000 tons of copper and 78 tons of gold were discovered in the village of Tulare, which is situated near Medvedja, according to the "Danube Minerals" company, which carried out research there. It was also said in the statement that "following the final calculation of mineral reserves in Tulare, it was established that 300 million tons of ore with a content of 0.27 percent of copper and 0.26 grams per ton of ore existed there. This amounts to 800,000 tons of copper and 78 tons of gold ", the media conveyed the statement of Phil Fox, Research Manager at the" Danube Minerals" company.
