MINISTRY OF ECONOMY EARMARKED 80 MILLION DINARS FOR UNDERDEVELOPED MUNICIPALITIES

Belgrade – Following a public call, the Ministry of Economy reached a decision on supporting 40 local self-governments with 80 million dinars for the preparation of infrastructure projects for the improvement of industrial and business zones, incubators and clusters, restoration of brownfield sites, as well as for developing transport and utilities infrastructure.

SOLVING WATER SUPPLY IN THE VILLAGE OF LECE

Medvedja – A meeting between representatives of the local community of the village of Lece,  the Mayor of Medvedja Nebojsa Arsic and representatives of the public utility company "Obnova" and public company "The Directorate for Urban Planning" from the municipality of Medvedja was held in connection with solving the problem of water supply in Lece.

OFFICE FOR TALKS WITH MPs OPENED

Bujanovac – The office in which the MPs in the Serbian Parliament Fatmir Hasani (the Party for Democratic Action) and Nenad Mitrovic (the Serbian Progressive Party) will be receiving their fellow citizens, as well as listen to their suggestions and requirements, was opened on the top floor of the Bujanovac municipal building.

PROVISION OF MEDICAL ASSISTANCE IN PCINJ DISTRICT COMPLETED

Belgrade, Bujanovac – During their joint engagement at eight locations in Pcinj District, medical teams of the Ministry of Defense, the Army of Serbia and the Ohio National Guards of the US Armed Forces examined nearly 2,000 patients and carried out a total of 3,364 medical examinations, it was concluded at a final meeting held at the Military Medical Academy in Belgrade.

OVER FIVE HUNDRED PATIENTS MEDICALLY EXAMINED IN THREE DAYS

Presevo, Bujanovac – In the three days since the beginning of the joint engagement of medical teams  of the Army of Serbia and the Ohio National Guards of the US Armed Forces, over five hundred patients were medically examined in the municipalities of Presevo and Bujanovac.

ANALYSIS OF CITIZEN PARTICIPATION IN THE DECISION-MAKING IN PRESEVO, BUJANOVAC AND MEDVEDJA

Presevo, Bujanovac, Medvedja – The Center for Free Elections and Democracy - CeSID (Belgrade), the GO-JA  NGO (Medvedja), the International Human Center NGO (Presevo) and the Civil Resource Center NGO (Bujanovac) jointly implemented the project "Support to Democratization in Presevo, Medvedja and Bujanovac", under the auspices of the European Union and as part of the EIDHR program. The project was aimed at improving democratization and the inclusion of vulnerable groups in the processes of political and other decisions of public importance in Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja.

LARGEST NUMBER OF FIRST-GRADERS IN VRANJE AND BUJANOVAC, THE SMALLEST NUMBER OF THEM IN TRGOVISTE AND BOSILEGRAD

Vranje, Bujanovac – Yesterday, 2,063 first- graders started going to elementary schools in the Pcinj district. The largest number of them is in Vranje, where 797 first-graders stated attending first-grade classes, followed by 435 first-graders from the municipality of Bujanovac.  

According to Jovica Stevanovic, an Advisor of the Leskovac School Administration’s Department in Vranje, the smallest number of first-graders is in the municipality of Trgoviste - a total of 36 of them.

52 FIRST-GRADE STUDENTS IN THE SCHOOLS IN MEDVEDJA

Medvedja - The "Gornja Jablanica" elementary school in Medvedja is completely prepared for the start of the first term of the 2016/2017 school year.

The school completed all the preparations for the start of the new school year over the summer holiday.  All the classrooms were cleaned, the defects were fixed and the desks and chairs repaired.
