OFFICE FOR TALKS WITH MPs OPENED

20. September 2016.

Bujanovac – The office in which the MPs in the Serbian Parliament Fatmir Hasani (the Party for Democratic Action) and Nenad Mitrovic (the Serbian Progressive Party) will be receiving their fellow citizens, as well as listen to their suggestions and requirements, was opened on the top floor of the Bujanovac municipal building. The Office will be opened on two days of the week, on Mondays and Wednesdays.

“We hope that we’ll be successful in passing along the requests and initiatives of all our fellow citizens. We are willing to help not only the citizens of the municipality of Bujanovac, but also those of the neighboring ones, "said the MP from the Party for Democratic Action (PDA) Fatmir Hasani, who is also a deputy member of the Parliamentary Committee for Education, Human and Minority Rights.

“We expect that all citizens will come to the office, especially those who aren’t members of our political party, since we could, in the past, meet with members of our party on the party premises. I believe that my colleague Mr. Hasani and I will manage with our activities in the National Assembly to bring investors to this region, which will contribute to job creation. Political stability is of key importance for accomplishing that, "said Nenad Mitrovic, an MP from the Serbian Progressive Party.

“This office is an additional door that opens up the possibility for the citizens to pass their requests to the Assembly of Serbia through its members, "said Ismail Pajaziti, the Head of Municipal Administration, which in cooperation with the CESID and “NDI” NGO provided the premises for the MPs.

Representatives of the CESID and NDI point out that the main role of the office will be to encourage direct communication between the citizens and MPs. This office is the 10 th. of 12 in Serbia, which were planned under the joint project of NDI and CESID called "People in the Right Place."

All citizens’ dispositions will be received by Egzon Lakna, a coordinator, while the MPs will be at the office when they have no obligations at the Republican Parliament.
