LARGEST NUMBER OF FIRST-GRADERS IN VRANJE AND BUJANOVAC, THE SMALLEST NUMBER OF THEM IN TRGOVISTE AND BOSILEGRAD

Vranje, Bujanovac – Yesterday, 2,063 first- graders started going to elementary schools in the Pcinj district. The largest number of them is in Vranje, where 797 first-graders stated attending first-grade classes, followed by 435 first-graders from the municipality of Bujanovac.  

According to Jovica Stevanovic, an Advisor of the Leskovac School Administration’s Department in Vranje, the smallest number of first-graders is in the municipality of Trgoviste - a total of 36 of them.  

Mr. Stevanovic said that 58 first-graders were enrolled in the first grade in the municipality of Bosilegrad,   which makes that municipality the last but one when it comes to the number of new students in the Pcinj district, while the municipality of Trgoviste, with the fewest number of first-graders, is the last on the list.

When it comes to the number of enrolled pupils, the above-mentioned municipalities are  followed  by the municipality of Vladicin Han with 175 first-graders,  the municipality of Surdulica with 215 enrolled first-graders and the municipalities of Presevo with 347 first graders.

According to data of the Leskovac Department of School Administration, all schools in the Pcinj district were fully ready for the start of the new school year.
