FIRST PRIZE FOR THE ”VELVET HEART” FILM MADE BY PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS FROM MEDVEDJA

The “Velvet Heart” short film, which was made by primary school pupils from the village of Lecce, near Medvedja, won the 1st. prize in a competition for short films of the Anti -Corruption Agency on the subject “When we don’t follow the rules , then ....”.  

The film was made by students of the 7th. and 8th.   grades of  elementary school “Radovan Kovacevic” from a small mining village of Lece, with the help of their IT teacher Sinisa Stankovic , who was also the director of the film.

The film conveys a message that young rebels generally don’t want to follow the rules and that can sometimes cost them a lot later in life”, said Marko Kostic , the school director.  

The team of that school won, for the second year in a row, the first prize for a short film at this competition. Last year, their short film “The Surgery” also won the first place with almost the maximum number of points.

“We are very proud of our school children. There are only 50 students at this school, and yet there are so many talents”, pointed out Director Kostic.

The competition results were published on December 9, 2014, while the “Velvet Heart”, in the “older age” competition for primary and secondary schools in Serbia, won the first place with almost the maximum number of points - out of a possible 15 , the film won 14.5 points.
