BENEFITS FOR ENERGY-VULNERABLE CITIZENS

The Republic of Serbia earmarked more funds for energy- vulnerable citizens in its budget for 2020 than it had done the year before - one billion and 560 million dinars.  It is not easy for the citizens to meet all the criteria for obtaining the status, while a failure in providing sufficient information, which is the responsibility of local self-governments, is still the main obstacle.

In the process of preparing the Proposal of the National Employment Action Plan for 2020, which regulates the area of active employment policy, the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veterans' and Social Affairs conducts a public debate on the Proposal of the National Employment Action Plan for 2020.

Zoran Djordjevic, Minister of Labor, Employment, Veterans' and Social Affairs, attended the event of launching the sixth national SOS helpline for women who experienced violence.

NEXUS VRANJE WITHIN THE PROJECT "IMPROVING INTERETHNIC COOPERATION BETWEEN VRANJE AND TUTIN BY EMPOWERING ETHNIC MINORITY GIRLS AND WOMEN"

Within the project "Improving Interethnic Cooperation between Vranje and Tutin by Empowering Girls and Women Belonging to Ethnic Minorities and Networking Relevant Stakeholders from Local Communities", the NEXUS Vranje civic association organized an advocacy meeting with representatives of institutions.

2.3 MILLION EUROS EARMARKED FOR HEALTH CENTERS THROUGHOUT SERBIA

Belgrade  - Zlatibor Loncar, the Minister of Health in the Government of the Republic of Serbia,  handed over contracts for financing and implementing projects aimed at improving the quality of services in primary health care for 83 health centers,  the total value of which is 2.3 million euros.

GUIDE FOR TRANSPARENT FINANCING OF ASSOCIATIONS AND OTHER CSOS FROM LOCAL SELF-GOVERNMENT BUDGETS PUBLISHED

The Office for Cooperation with Civil Society, in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government and the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities (SCTM)s, published the third amended edition of the “Guide on Transparent Financing of Associations and Other Civil Society Organizations from Local Self-Government Budgets.”

PUBLIC CALL FOR IPARD MEASURE M3 FOR THE PROCESSING OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS (DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 24, 2020)

The Agrarian Payments Directorate launched the Third Public Call for Proposals for IPARD Incentives for Investments in Physical Assets concerning the processing and marketing of agricultural and fishery products.

GOVERNMENT SUBSIDIES TO BE PROVIDED TO RECYCLERS AS WELL: 3.5 BILLION DINARS FOR WASTE COLLECTORS

Recyclers could count on Government subsidies amounting to a total of three and a half billion dinars next year. The next year's budget proposal foresees 27 percent more funds for the environmental sector. All the "surplus" will be directed to the budget fund, so that it will actually be 45 percent higher than the current one.

COORDINATION BODY AWARDED 40 MILLION DINARS IN GRANTS TO COMPANIES FROM PRESEVO, BUJANOVAC AND MEDVEDJA

Bujanovac –  Out of 16 entrepreneurs who have been awarded grant contracts by the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, seven are from Bujanovac, and they will receive 19 million dinars to improve the business operations of their companies.
