Medvedja – Over the past week, Nebojsa Arsic, the Mayor of Medvedja, held meetings with representatives of the local communities in the municipality of Medvedja, as well as with representatives of the political parties, for the purpose of including and encompassing all the relevant factors in the drawn up of the budget for 2019.

Medvedja – The City of Leskovac and the municipalities of Medvedja, Lebane and Vlasotince jointly participate in the regional project "We are Working for a Better Future of Children", the goal of which is to empower young people and encourage parenting. The project is worth 67 million dinars, while around one hundred and twenty young peopple received the agreements.  

Eligible to apply are all young people aged from 11 to 25. Young eco-reporters should highlight the environmental problems related to energy efficiency, making a special reference to their local community and, if possible, provide a solution to the problem described.

The call is intended for the companies which implement investment projects in the manufacturing sector and in the international trade service sector.

Bujanovac –  The municipal council decided at the meeting to allocate 400,000 dinars for the purchase of New Year's lights.

Medvedja – The Sports Association of Medvedja, in cooperation with the Chess Club "Gornja Jablanica", organized a chess chanpionship in the municipality of Medvedja. Twenty competitors applied for taking part in it. Over the two chess days and seven chess competition rounds, the competitors checked out  their knowledge of and their skills in this ancient game.

Medvedja – Over the last few months, the villages located in the hilly and mountainous municipality of Medvedja have been without electricity for days. Particularly vulnerable are the settlements situated along the 10 kilowatt power-supply route of "Tulare", which is located along the administrative line with Kosovo and Metohija.
