NUMBER OF REFUGEES IN SOUTH SERBIA ISN’T DECREASING

Presevo – According to the data of the Red Cross Office in Presevo, over the last two days, the influx of migrants from the direction of Greece, through Macedonia, into the southern Serbian municipality "was regular and varied between 1, 500 and two thousand men, women and children”.

OFFICE FOR COOPERATION WITH CIVIL SOCIETY DEVELOPED AN INTERACTIVE WEBSITE – OCDOSKOP

Belgrade – The Office for Cooperation with Civil Society developed an interactive website - OCDoskop to raise the visibility of the civil sector in Serbia and provide an opportunity to civil society organizations to show to the general public, donors, the private sector, but also to each other, who they are and what they do. The said portal can be accessed at: www.ocdoskop.rs

TRAINING ON NON-DISCRIMINATION AND WORK WITH VULNERABLE GROUPS FOR YOUTH OFFICE COORDINATORS AND REPRESENTATIVES OF CIVIL SOCIETY

Belgrade – The OSCE Mission to Serbia and the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Serbia, with the technical support of the Belgrade Centre for Human Rights, are organizing a training course for Local Youth Office coordinators and representatives of non-governmental organizations on the topic of "Working with Vulnerable Young People and the Principles of Non-Discrimination."

RUSSIA PROVIDED NEW FIRE EXTINGUISHING TRUCKS TO SERBIA

Nis – Yesterday, Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic and his associates took over, at the seat of the Serbian-Russian Humanitarian Center (SRHC) in Nis, the keys of five new trucks for fire extinguishing, which Russia had provided to Serbia.

PUBLIC WELFARE IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BUJANOVAC

Bujanovac – According to the information received from Nijazi Ahmeti, the Director of the Welfare Office in Bujanovac, 833 families from the municipality receive public welfare.

GOVERNMENT PROVIDES FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO COMPANIES FROM SOUTH SERBIA

Bujanovac - 18 companies from the municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja received from the budget of the Republic of Serbia, and through the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, a little over 48 million dinars for improvement of their production.

BIVODA: STAY YOUNG WITH BI KOKTA

Bujanovac – Complying with the wishes of its customers, the Bujanovac - based "Bivoda" put a new “Bi Kokta” product on the market.   According to Nenad Zafirovic, the Director of the company, which operates within "Yumco", a special recipe of the product resulted from many years of experience of the undisputed leader in the production and marketing of non-alcoholic beverages on South Serbia’s market.

2, 000 MIGRANTS ARRIVE PER DAY

Presevo – Almost 2, 000 refugees from Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan arrived in Presevo yesterday, while, according to the data of the competent bodies, there were no problems with their reception and the provision of assistance to them.

MS. KOCIJANCIC: AAM NOT THE SAME AS CSM

Brussels - The Association of Albanian Municipalities (AAM) established in South Serbia is not the same as the Community of Serbian Municipalities (CSM), the establishment of which was agreed upon in the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue in Brussels, Maja Kocijancic, the spokesperson for the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, said on Tuesday.

MR. STANKOVIC: SECOND WAVE OF REFUGEES IN PROGRESS, SERBIA NEEDS HELP

Belgrade – The President of the Coordination Body for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, Zoran Stankovic, said that after the first wave of refugees, which included mostly men, the ongoing second phase was characterized by a large number of women, children, pregnant women and the elderly. Mr. Stanković appealed that the country needed help, for, as he pointed out, a wave including one million refugees was expected.
