BLUE TONGUE CLOSED LIVESTOCK MARKETS IN SOUTH SERBIA

Beograd – The Republican Veterinary Inspection ordered the closure of livestock markets in Vranje, Bosilegrad, Trgoviste and Vladicin Han because of the emergence of the “blue tongue” viral infection of cattle.

PERFORMANCES AND WORKSHOPS TO REDUCE VIOLENCE

SEIZURE OF LARGE AMOUNTS OF TOBACCO

Members of the Police Department in Vranje found around 140 kilograms of cut tobacco in the “Golf” passenger vehicle with Bujanovac license plates. The impounded tobacco is suspected to have been intended for further sale, stated the Police Department in Vranje.

JAZZ CONCERT IN BUJANOVAC

Bujanovac – As part of the final activities for the project “Jazz – A Multicultural Expression”, the Youth Jazz Orchestra of South Serbia held a concert in the hall of the “Vuk Karadzic” cultural center in Bujanovac.

PLAY 017 “CHECKED OUT” THE GERMANS

Bujanovac – Pioneers of the “Play 017” basketball club played in Bujanovac a friendly match  with the “Eisbären Bremerhaven” team from Germany and won with a 57:28 score.

SPACE TRAVEL IN A CAPSULE - BEST STUDENTS’ IDEA

Leskovac – The idea of ​​making and renting a modern capsule, which simulates the experience of traveling to the Moon, won the first place in the regional competition of secondary school students in entrepreneurial skills the “Business Challenge”.  

The “Business Challenge” competition, which was held in Leskovac, was attended by 110 students from 21 secondary schools from Aleksinac Knjazevac, Kursumlija, Leskovac, Medvedja, Nis, Pirot, Vlasotnice, Vucje and Zajecar.  The winner was a team which consisted of students of grammar school in Kursumlija, the “S.K. Toza” secondary school in Vucje, the administration school in Nis and the tourism and catering school in Leskovac. They are the authors of the “Mother's Capsule” project.

MPs VISITED MILITARY BASE “JUG” NEAR BUJANOVAC

Members of the Committee for Defense and Internal Affairs of the Assembly of Serbia visited members of the Army of Serbia at the “Jug” military base.  While talking to them, they positively evaluated the high level of professionalism and dedication to performing the tasks and achieving the goals of the vision and mission of the base.

YOUTH POLICY IN SOUTH SERBIA

Vranje/Leskovac – The “Generator” association , the Youth Office in Vranje and the National Parliament from Leskovac organized a roundtable at the Assembly Hall of the city of Vranje  at which the National Youth Strategy for the 2015- 2025 period was presented, as well as the corresponding Action Plan for the 2015-2018 period.
