MR. STANKOVIC: THERE IS NO THREAT OF AN ARMED CONFLICT IN THE SOUTHERN PART OF CENTRAL SERBIA

Belgrade–  Zoran Stankovic, the President of the Coordination Body for the Southern Part of Central Serbia, said that that part of Serbia was not threatened by an armed conflict and that despite, as he put it, "constant announcements about a war in that area", the security structures were performing their duties very well.

INSPECTION FOUND ALMOST 300 PERSONS WORKING OFF THE BOOKS IN THE SOUTHERN PART OF CENTRAL SERBIA

Presevo, Bujanovac – According to the relevant Ministry, the inspection services found 285 undeclared workers in nine municipalities and two cities of the southern part of central Serbia. The companies with the largest number of employees working off the books are in Presevo, Bujanovac and Trgoviste.

CALL OF THE UN OFFICE FOR THE WOMEN’S PROGRAM IN SERBIA

Belgrade – The UN Office for the Women's program in Serbia issued a call for the empowerment of women living in rural areas in Serbia. This project should contribute to ending violence against women and should also focus on providing quality services to women and girls who are subjected to violence and living in rural areas, as well as to other women who are subjected to multiple discrimination.
