ALMIR FROM THE BUJANOVAC YOUTH BASKEBRALL CLUB “PLAY 017” IN ITALY

Bujanovac – The example of Almir Asani, a boy from Bujanovac who will, after being a player of the “Play 017” youth basketball club, wear a jersey of the Italian basketball club OXYGEN ORAGNGE BASKET 1 in Bassano Del Grappa, shows that dreams do come true.

"Almir, or more precisely his parents, signed a multi-year contract with the club, which will run until he is 18," says Nenad Stajic, the President and the coach of the Bujanovac youth basketball club.

“Alimr will have all the necessary conditions in Italy for developing in the field of basketball. In addition to that, he will attend school in Bassano on a regular basis (all education-related costs shall be borne by the club), his health insurance will be fully covered, and he will have his residence permit, accommodation, meals and all the necessary sports equipment for practicing basketball and for basketball tournaments and matches. He is the youngest player of our club who has ever become a member of a foreign club. Almir is one of the best players of his age group in Serbia, " Mr. Stajić said.

"Almir is," added Mr. Stajic, "of Roma descent and was one of the best students of the “Branko Radicevic” elementary school in Bujanovac, since he was a straight A student. The "Play 017" youth basketball club wishes Almir the best of luck with his further education and basketball career, " Mr.Stajic said.

The Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, too, wishes young Almir a great deal of success with his school and basketball career.
