One part of the contract, in the amount of 3 million dinars, is financed from the budget of the municipality of Medvedja, while the remaining portion from the contract is funded by the National Employment Office.

Of the 44 employees, 18 of them, who should  be working for the public utility company “Obnova”, will be engaged in the cleaning of waste dumps, roads, cemeteries and in tidying up public spaces, 14 of them, who should be working for the health center in Medvedja and the Special Rehabilitation Hospital in Sijarinska Spa, will be involved in the maintenance and protection of the environment, the cleaning of surgeries  and eliminating waste, while 12 of them, who should be working in Sijarinska Spa,  in the cleaning and maintaining of the spa’s river  and parks, as well as in the restoration of the protective zone of thermal springs in the spa.

Public works will be carried out over the next 3 months for workers engaged in "Obnova" and over the next 4 months for workers engaged in the rehabilitation center in Sijarinska Spa and the Health Center.

"This is the largest amount of funds that Medvedja has put aside for the implementation of public works so far. Seasonal jobs are not a permanent alternative, since they are temporary in character, but they help people get through these few months, given that the hired workers have health insurance and their work experience runs during the performance of the said jobs. For me personally, there is no greater satisfaction than to see young people return to Medvedja, " Mayor Arsic said.

Goran Janković, a representative of the National Employment Office, said that the said office had good cooperation with Medvedja and that the municipality had allocated the largest amount of funds in the Jablanica region for public works that year.
