On the occasion of April 22, which is the Planet Day, the "Green World" NGO, along with the young from the Albanian, Serbian and Roma communities, organized the plantig of evergreen tree seedlings and decorative flowers in the garden of the building where the Office of the Coordination Body is situated in Presevo. The activity, under the title of the "Activator-Accelerator", was carried out in Presevo, Bujanovac and Vranje as part of the Ministry of Youth and Sports' project. The "Offer" NGO from Bujanovac and the "Generator" NGO from Vranje cooperated on the activity

Mr Nenad Djurdjevic, Director of the Office of the Co-ordination Body for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, along with his two advisors, Ms Danijela Nenadic and Ms Ana Brnabic, had a meeting with a group of 11 members of the International Affairs Society. They are all students of the University of Bristol, Great Britain. Members of the said group are currently on a stady trip to our country and they're keenly interested in the national and international policy of our country, as well as in the Balkans. The meeting was held at the request of members of the International Affairs Society, who were fully briefed about the activities of the Office of the Co-ordination Body for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja.

A recently reconstructed market in Bojnik is going to be officially opened at 11 am on Tuesday, April 15. The market will be opened by Mr. Jovica Arandjelovic, Mayor of Bojnik, Mr. Branko Jocic, State Secretary at the Serbian government's Ministry of Infrastructure, Mr. Tom Torogood, Manager of the Municipal Improvement and Revival Program MIR2 and Mr. Branko Delibasic, a regional coordinator for MIR2 Program from the Serbian government's Coordination Body for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja. This important project was implemented as part of the MIR2 Program, while the overall value of the carried out works is 9.6 million dinars, out of which 6 million dinars were provided by the MIR2 Program donors, 1.9 million dinars by the Serbian government's Coordination Body and the remaining amount of 1.7 million dinars was supplied from the budget of the municipality of Bojnik.

Nenad Djurdjevic, Director of the Coordination Body for South Serbia, participated today in the opening ceremony of the third international agriculture fair in Bujanovac. Over 60 producers of agricultural produce, foodstaffs and farming equipment both from the country and abroad will participate in the fair, which will take place from April 7 to 9, 2008. Apart from the Preševo and Bujanovac Development Agency (PBDA), the holding of the fair was supported by the USAID Mission's Economic Security Program.

A festive putting into operation of the water supply network in the village of Konculj, municipality of Bujanovac, the construction of which cost the total of 21.4 million dinars. The Coordination Body provided 45% of the funds for the project, the USAID 40%, while the remaining 15% of the necessary finacial resources were supplied by inhabitants of the village of Konculj.

A delegation from the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja visited South Serbia on February 17, 2008. Members of the delegation included President, Deputy President and Vice President of the Coordination Body Rasim Ljajic, Nenad Popovic and Dusan Spasojevic, as well as Director of the Coordination Body's Office Nenad Djurdjevic and Heads of the Teams for Implementation of the Coordination Body's Projects in Bujanovac and Presevo Sima Gazikalovic and Branko Delibasic.

With reference to a public competition for the posts of the Coordination Body’s Offices Clerks in Presevo and Bujanovac, which the Coordination Body’s Office publicly announced in October 2007, please be informed that after considering a great many CVs and conducting interviwes with the short-listed candidates, the Coordination Body’s personnel recruitment board, on January 17, 2008, decided to engage Mr. Seljami Bektasi for the post in Presevo and Mr. Driton Redzepi for the post in Bujanovac. The Coordination Body’s Office would like to thank to all the applicants for the posts for being interested in working for the Coordination Body.

Thanks to a donation of the Office of the World Bank in Serbia, the Coordintion Body handed over four computers to the following NGOs in South Serbia: two computers to the "Neighbors for Peace" NGO in Bujanovac, one computer to the "Green World" NGO in Presevo and one computer to the "Cultural Center" NGO in Medvedja.

On January 11, 2008, a water-supply system was ceremoniously put into operation in the local community of Trejak, which is situated in the municipality of Bujanovac. Mr. Rasim Ljajic, Minister of Labor and Social Issues and Director of the Serbian Government’s Coordination Body for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, along with Nenad Popovic, PhD, Deputy President of the Coordination Body and Mr. Nenad Djurdjevic, Director of the Coordination Body’s Office, Mr. Sima Gazikalovic, Head of the Team for the Implementation of Coordination Body’s Projects in Bujanovac and Mr. Branko Delibasic, Head of the Team for the Implementation of Coordination Body’s Projects in Presevo, attended the opening.
