On January 11, 2008, a water-supply system was ceremoniously put into operation in the local community of Trejak, which is situated in the municipality of Bujanovac. Mr. Rasim Ljajic, Minister of Labor and Social Issues and Director of the Serbian Government’s Coordination Body for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, along with Nenad Popovic, PhD, Deputy President of the Coordination Body and Mr. Nenad Djurdjevic, Director of the Coordination Body’s Office, Mr. Sima Gazikalovic, Head of the Team for the Implementation of Coordination Body’s Projects in Bujanovac and Mr. Branko Delibasic, Head of the Team for the Implementation of Coordination Body’s Projects in Presevo, attended the opening. In addition to them, the opening ceremony was also attended by numerous inhabitants of the village of Trejak, while their official representative, Mr. Nikodije Stefanovic, on behalf of all the inhabitants of this local community, warmly thanked Minister Ljajic, as well as the Coordination Body’s high-ranking officials, by saying that January 11 was an extremely important date for the local community of Trejak.
On the same day, Minister Ljajic, along with the aforementioned Coordination Body’s high-ranking officials, publicly announced the beginning of construction works on the water-supply system for the inhabitants of the Serbian villages of Krsevica and Klinovac, which are situated in the municipality of Bujanovac. The event took place in the community center of the village of Klinovac. The ceremony was attended by numerous inhabitants of those two villages, who were very pleased with the fact that they would soon have water in their homes. The project contractor is the „Jaroslav Cerni“Institute for Water Resource Management, while the project completion deadline is June 1, 2008. During his speech, which was given at the community center in the village of Klinovac, Minister Ljajic said that „his next meeting with the inhabitants of these two villages will be on June 2, 2008, when water will be running in their homes.“ Mr. Nenad Djurdjevic, Director of the Coordination Body’s Office, stated on this occasion that „the Coordination Body shall continue to invest in the development of infrastructure in the municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja.“
