VOJVODE MISICA STREET IN MEDVEDJA HAS BEEN ASPHALTED, ROADS IN GAJTAN ARE BEING FIXED UP

Меdvedja - As part of the regular maintenance of asphalt roads, Vojvode Misica Street in Medvedja has been reconstructed, while roads are being fixed up at three locations in the local community of Gajtan.

The works on the street, which were done by the "Trace" company from Vranje, included the replacement of manholes and drains, as well as the asphalting of the street.

The recovery of rural and local roads in Gajtan is being done by the "Saba Belca" company from Presevo.

This fall, repairs of and the laying of gravel on 12 roads in the territory of the municipality of Medvedja are planned.

While visiting the contractors, the President of the Municipality, Nebojsa Arsic, said that he was impressed by the "joy of the hosts, who live at 1,000 meters above sea level and on top of Radan Mt, because they finally got the road to their homes".

In addition to the works on road maintenance, the President of the Municipality of Medvedja also visited the church of St. Ilija in Gajtan, which was being renovated.

A lot of locals got involved in the renovation of the roof of the church, thereby showing that a great deal could be achieved by joint efforts, voluntary work and commitment.
