VACCINES ARRIVED AT THE HEALTH CENTER IN BUJANOVAC

Bujanovac - A new contingent of vaccines against seasonal flu arrived at the Health Center in Bujanovac, so that the health institution invited the citizens who belong to the endangered category to get vaccinated.

After 1,000 doses of the vaccine had arrived in October, the Health Center now received another 700 vaccines, confirmed the Director of the Health Center, Dr. Daliborka Pavlović.

"Chronically ill people, patients with associated diseases and those older than 65 should get vaccinated, as well as all those who are in contact with a larger number of people due to the nature of their work, such as police officers, healthcare workers and social workers", Dr. Pavlovic said.

Immunization is done on the order of the chosen doctor, who determines the indications and contraindications.

The Director pointed out that serological tests for the corona virus were not performed in the Health Center, because the Institute of Public Health no longer delivered them, adding that she hoped that the citizens would be provided with antigen testing at their own request.

“Serological tests that determine the presence of antibodies are no longer done. We are talking with the relevant authorities to enable the citizens who want to be tested for antigen tests for a fee or privately”, Dr. Pavlovic said.
