TRAINING IN ORGANIC AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTON

Leskovac – Over the next six days, the Centre for the Development of Jablanica and Pcinj Districts will be providing training in the field of organic agricultural production for participants in the project “Support to Organic Food Production in South Serbia", which is funded by the Austrian Development Agency ADA.

The training course beneficiaries come from Jablanica and Pcinj districts, Leskovac, Vlasotince, Bojnik, Vranje and Bujanovac.

The training course takes place every day, in the period from March 18  to 23, 2013, at the training room of the Centre for the Development of Jablanica and Pcinj Districts. During the six- day training, the participants in the project, who haven’t had the opportunity to learn about the basics of organic farming, will attend the training, which consists of six fields, such as plant-growing and cattle-breeding, the method of certification, recordkeeping in production, marketing etc.

The training is held in collaboration with the Open University from Subotica and the “Teras” Association. The lecturers, who are eminent experts in the field, include Slobodan Milenkovic, Nenad Novakovic, Nadezda Pesic-Mlinko, Vladan Ugrenovic and Nadezda Pantelic.
The trainees will undergo the training and take knowledge tests every day, so that they could receive valid certificates of knowledge on the basis of the demonstrated results at the end of the unique training course.

This and similar training courses are part of the activities related to the project "Support to Organic Food Production in South Serbia".
