TRAINING FOR REPRESENTATIVES OF THE CIVIC SECTOR

7. June 2011.

The Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, in partnership with the UN’s PBILD program, organized a four-day training for representatives of non-governmental organizations in the period from June 1 to 4, 2011.  The training was focused on the organizations whose projects deal with and address the issues of the young.

The training was aimed at strengthening the capacities and increasing the knowledge and skills of youth organizations dealing with projects in the fields of cultural and educational policies, as well as with minority and gender rights. One part of the training was dedicated to the topics of project cycles, team work and team members’ roles.

Upon completion of the training, the Coordination Body and PBILD are going to announce an open competition for allocating funds for small projects to NGOs, which should encourage the youth organizations to implement the projects of educational and cultural policies, or projects dealing with gender and minority rights. The organizations that didn’t undergo the Coordination Body’s training would also be entitled to participate in the open competition.
