TRAINING FOR REPRESENTATIVES OF LOCAL SELF-GOVERNMENTS IN THE JABLANICA DISTRICT COMPLETED

Leskovac - A three-day training for employees of the local self-governments from the area of the Jablanica District, which was attended by 27 persons from Medvedja, Leskovac, Lebane, Bojnik and Crna Trava, was completed at the two-year post-secondary Business School in Leskovac.

The training, which is part of the project "Human Resource Management in Local Self-Governments", was implemented by the Center for Development of the Jablanica and Pcinj Districts, while the main objective of the project is to strengthen the capacities of the local self-governmental units for the project preparation and implementation.

“This training is implemented with the aim of enabling as many employees of the local self-governments as possible for writing and implementing good projects, so that they could apply to donors, both national and foreign, for obtaining grants, and use those funds, "said Dragana Belezada from the Center for Development of the Jablanica and Pcinj Districts.

Apart from the Jablanica District, this kind of training will be provided in the Pcinj, Toplica, Nis and Pirot Districts, too.

“Our work does not end with these training courses. We will also organize a training course for writing cross-border projects. We expect the issuing of a public call, based on which we will make the training, concrete" Ms. Belezada said.

The project is financed by the European Union and the Council of Europe, in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government and the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities.
