THOSE WHO WANT 100 EUROS MUST APPLY BY PHONE OR ONLINE THROUGH THE TREASURY DIRECTORATE PORTAL

Belgrade - The 100 euros promised to every adult citizen of Serbia, as a form of economic aid to alleviate the crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic, will be received automatically by pensioners and social assistance beneficiaries from May 15, while the rest of the citizens will have to declare whether they want it by phone,” Finance Minister Sinisa Mali said.

He explained this payment system by saying that he had heard that many citizens did not want this financial assistance.

“At the Government session, we adopted a budget rebalance that includes all the announced economic measures and the payment of minimums is already starting in the first week of May. We also adopted a regulation on paying 100 euros to every adult citizen of Serbia. We will automatically pay 100 euros to all pensioners and those receiving social assistance. We will start on May 15, and then we will give the remaining adult citizens the opportunity to apply if they want 100 euros,” the Minister of Finance said.
