THE NUMBER OF OFFENSES DECLINING

Vranje, Bujanovac, Presevo – In the area of jurisdiction of the Police Department (PD) in Vranje, which covers the territory of the Pcinj district or that of the municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac, Vranje, Trgoviste, Bosilegrad, Surdulica and Vladicin Han, a total of 679 offenses were registered in the first six months of 2018, which is by 7.11 percent less offnces than in the same period last year.

According to police statistics, most crimes were, this year, registered in the area of general crime (577), which is by 7.23 percent less than in the same period in 2017.

A reduction in the number of crimes was also recorded in the field of economic crime, in which 82 offenses were registered in the period from January 1 to June 30 of this year, while 95 such cases were registered in the same period last year.

When it comes to the field of combating economic crime, the most common criminal offense is the abuse of authority.

38 offenses of abuse of authority were identified in the first six months of 2018, while 11 such cases were registered in the same period of 2017.
