THE NOVAK DJOKOVIC FOUNDATION HELPS LOCAL BUSINESSMEN THROUGH THE ORIGINAL LEADERS PROGRAM

20. January 2020.

For the first time in Serbia, social entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to participate in an intensive professional support program "Original Leaders".

Through lectures and workshops, they will be able to strengthen their own capacities, further develop their businesses, work on creating and implementing adequate development plans, and thus influence changes in society.

The aim of the program, which is implemented by the Novak Djokovic Foundation through the Original Platform, is to improve the business of social entrepreneurs, who will receive consulting support in the development and improvement of business through working with experienced social entrepreneurs and business consultants.

The originality of the program is also reflected in business-coaching; which participants will work on throughout the education.  The program contains individual, group and team work, lasts four months and is completely free of charge.

Social entrepreneurs are considered to be persons who, when starting a business, prioritize the fulfillment of a particular social mission and a positive impact on society. About 1,200 such businesses operate in Serbia, while the sector employs more than 10,000 people in our country.

"As these companies pursue the noble goal of addressing essential issues, such as exclusion, poverty, unemployment etc, we want the Original Leaders program to support them, strengthen their businesses and contribute to their sustainability," said Danijela Jovicic, the “Novak Djokovic” Foundation's project coordinator.

“Our primary goal is to promote the spirit of social entrepreneurship through education, support and networking. The project is quite unique because we tailor it to the needs of each program beneficiary individually and not in advance, to fully help them cope with all the challenges they face and enable them to grow and develop further“.

The call is open until January 24, while the number of participants is limited.
