THE MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY OF BUJANOVAC DIGITIZED BY THE MINISTRY'S MONEY, THE COUNCILORS WILL SPEAK FROM THEIR SEATS

19. September 2019.

Bujanovac – A digital system has been installed in the hall of the Bujanovac Municipal Assembly, which, as announced by the Mayor's office, "will raise the level of efficiency of the work of councilors".

The digitization of the Assembly hall was paid 4.7 million dinars, but not from the municipal budget, since the money came from the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government.

At the next Assembly session, there will be no counting of hands raised during the voting, nor addressing the Assembly from the speaker’s booth, as the quorum will be determined and voting will be done through cards and electronic units, and councilors will speak from their seats, as in the National Assembly of Serbia.

“The local self-government applied with this project with the line ministry because we believe that modernization will raise the efficiency of the Assembly to a higher level,”Rahim Salihi, the Head of Mayor’s Office Staff, said.

As he said, digitalization would turn the Assembly into a place where the work and the time of both councilors and citizens is respected.
