THE MINISTRY OF LABOR DRAFTED A LAW ON THE SOCIAL CARD

20. October 2020.

Belgrade - The Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veterans' and Social Affairs has drafted a law on the social card, and it is expected that this regulation, which has been awaited for 30 years, will be on the agenda of the autumn session of the Parliament.

This was confirmed by Minister Zoran Djordjevic yesterday, on the occasion of the International Day for the Fight against Poverty, when he said that the introduction of the social card was one of the ways in which those who really needed it the most would be able to receive state aid, which would reduce poverty in Serbia.

Minister Djordjevic stated that by introducing the social map system, all data on the citizens would be in one place: a fairer distribution of aid would be ensured, as well as a more transparent and efficient exercise of all the rights that legally belong to the citizens.

The Minister pointed out that the goal of the Government of Serbia was to eradicate the abuse of aid and to provide the citizens with basic conditions for a dignified life.
