THE E-KINDERGARTEN SERVICE IS AVAILABLE IN OVER 60 CITIES AND MUNICIPALITIES

6. April 2020.

Belgrade The Office for IT and e-Government of the Government of the Republic of Serbia announced that the e-Kindergarten service was currently active in more than 60 cities and municipalities.

In the territory of the Jablanica district, the said service is available in preschool institutions “Djuka Dinic” in Bojnik, “Mladost” in Medvedja, ”Vukica Mitrovic” in Leskovac and “Children's Joy” in Lebane.

The service is available on the e-Government portal for all registered users, and when used, the necessary information from the Birth Registry, the Central Register of Compulsory Social Security and the Register of Residence is automatically obtained, so that the parents do not have to submit any documents at the time of their child's registration, nor to go to any counters.

The e-Kindergarten service is intended for parents who are citizens of the Republic of Serbia, while some preschool institutions provide the service even if one of the parents is a foreign citizen.

When it comes to children of single parents, children of victims of domestic violence, children with disabilities or children from families using some form of social protection, the preschool institution is able to accept the application electronically, but parents need to bring to the preschool institution the relevant supporting documentation proving the stated status.

The recommendation of the Office for IT and e-Government to all preschool institutions, which is in line with the current epidemiological situation, is to make it possible for parents to submit this documentation electronically.

Last year, e-Kindergarten service was used by parents in 17 cities and municipalities throughout Serbia, while as of this year, all local self-governments provide it.
