29. April 2010.

On Thursday, April 29, 2010, a sub-station in the Bujanovac “Sector 6” industrial zone was opened. The sub-station was put into operation by Nenad Djurdjevic, Director of the Coordination Body’s Office for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, Mary Warlick, the US Ambassador and Saip Kamberi, the President of the Municipality of Bujanovac.

By this investment, the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja and the USAID made it possible for the industrial zone to operate. The existing sub-stations were reconstructed, while three new ones were purchased and installed, which will enable the facilities to be smoothly provided with power, which is a key precondition for an unimpeded operation of the municipality’s industrial capacities. In addition, a transmission line was set up, which makes it possible for another two sub-stations to be installed, thanks to which the entire region will be provided with power.

Prior to investing in “Sector 6”, there were only two sub-stations, which couldn’t provide unhindered operation of entrepreneurs in the industrial zone.
