SPORTS ASSOCIATION OF SERBIA (SAS) PAYS A VISIT TO PRESEVO

Presevo - Representatives of the Sports Association of Serbia (SAS) visited Presevo yesterday and talked with the woman Mayor and representatives of the Sports Association of Presevo.

Dane Korica, Advisor to the Head of the SAS, thanked the woman Mayor of Presevo for having met with a delegation of the Sports Association of Serbia. The issue discussed during the meeting was the status of the Sports Association of Presevo. Mr. Korica said the Sports Association of Serbia wanted to assist the Sports Association of Presevo with operating in compliance with the law or with implementing the programs of sports organizations in the area of the municipality of Presevo through the Sports Association of Serbia, as well as with financing the clubs and their programs, primarily the programs of the Sports Association of Presevo.

The Mayor of Presevo and her associates embraced the idea of the Sports Association of Serbia.

Mr. Korica also said that there were many quality children and athletes in Presevo who could achieve great results in the field of sports. He said the problem was that there were not many sports facilities in Presevo, which was important if the kids wanted to go in for sports. He pointed out that the municipalities of Presevo, the Sports Association of Serbia and sports clubs should work together to ensure the best possible conditions for future athletes, so that there would be more champions in that part of Serbia and in Presevo and so that Presevo would emerge on the map of successful sports organizations.

Rijad Ajeti, the Head of the Sports Association of Presevo, thanked the Sports Association of Serbia for having visited Presevo. He said that the aim of the held meeting was a better functioning of the Sports Association of Presevo. He added that the Sports Association of Presevo had not received any funds for the promotion of sports for two years and that it had no office or conditions for normal operation. He concluded that the municipality of Presevo would, in the future, assign funds for sports, which had been distributed through the Sports Association of Presevo, to active sports clubs, too.
