SLINGSHOT: CONFERENCE ON TRENDS IN COMMUNICATIONS FOR ACTIVE CITIZENS

The Civic Initiatives NGO is organizing the fourth “Slingshot” conference from November 14 to 15, 2019 in Belgrade.

Inspired by the story of David and Goliath, with the desire to draw attention to the fact that "small but lethal weapons" are sufficient for the fight against "big problems", the Slingshot was created, which is a unique conference in the region, dedicated to the implementation of PR in the non-profit sector.

This year's Slingshot will address Change and Implementation: Communication is not the only challenge and obstacle we face as a civil society. The increasing polarization, the political context, the narrowing of the room for the work of associations and frequent campaigns against civil society are influencing the creation of a bad image of civil society’s work in public. In order to deal with these problems, we need to be as creative and innovative as possible, ready to step outside the established framework and go one step further when it comes to communicating our activities.
