SIGNING-UP OF START-UPS FOR BIOSENSE АCCELERATOR (DEADLINE: SEPTEMBER 1, 2019)

21. August 2019.

Applications for the BioSense Accelerator for start-ups in the agricultural sector will be open for about ten more days.

The BioSense Accelerator will be implemented from October to December as part of the ANTARES project.

This program is aimed at domestic technology-innovative companies, which base their work in the agriculture and food sectors.

Through education, intensive training and personal mentoring, the BioSense Accelerator will enable local IT entrepreneurs, start-ups and small businesses to contribute to the digitization of agriculture through the development of new solutions and the improvement of the existing ones.

This program aims to provide domestic start-ups with access to and enable working with leading business people, as well as with market and technology professionals.

Ten start-ups will participate in the program, which will, through weekly workshops, as well as thematic lectures and other events held by experts and entrepreneurs with experience, gain experience and knowledge that will enable them to test the sustainability and feasibility of their business ideas and digital solutions.

The program will bring together more than 20 mentors - experts from the country and abroad, people with expertise, experience, contacts and ideas.

In addition to mentoring, the teams that show the most willingness to develop their business ideas will also have scientific support from the BioSense Institute in terms of knowledge transfer and, if necessary, the BioSense Institute's scientific and research equipment necessary for digital product development.

The start-ups that meet the following requirements are eligible to participate in the BioSense Accelerator:

  • Have a team that has already been formed, a developed idea and a clear start-up business plan.
  • Are engaged in the development and implementation of innovations and IT solutions for agriculture and the food sector.
  • Solve real market problems by working on upgrading the existing solutions or digitizing the previous analog solutions.
