SEWERAGE FLOWS THROUGH RAKOVAC AND BUJANOVAC SPA, AUTHORITIES FAILED TO RESPOND

Bujanovac - In addition to the residents of the Klenike region, the residents of Rakovac and Bujanovac Spa are also having troubles with the sewage.

Residents of those places say that the city sewage has been spilling out into Kalvanicki brook for days now, and none of the authorities reacted.

Fecal matter flows past Rakovac and Bujanovac Spa, but also past water plants "Heba" and "Bivoda".

“We are having an ecological disaster in the making. The negligence of the authorities endangers the citizens’ health", said a resident of Rakovac.

He claims that the villagers asked the authorities to prevent this several times, but that no one reacted.

Due to the clogged main sewer pipe, a faecal lake was created in the village of Sveta Petka, only 300 meters away from the main water supply well for the entire Klenike region.

According to the locals, the malfunction was reported 3 months ago.
