SESSION OF THE PRESIDENCY OF THE COORDINATION BODY HELD

A session of the Presidency of the Coordination Body for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja was held in Belgrade. In addition to the President of the Coordination Body, Zoran Stankovic, the session was attended by the presidents of the three municipalities, Nagip Arifi, Ragmi Mustafa and Slobodan Draskovic.

In his address to the reporters, Mr. Stankovic said that there were no objections to the operation and implementation of what had been agreed upon previously and that the discussion in the session proceeded in a constructive and responsible tone. The President of the Coordination Body pointed out that that was yet another proof of regular contacts between the people who run the local self- governments and the Government of the Republic Serbia.

"What concerns people from the local self-governments is the year 2014, in which the problem of unemployment is particularly acute," said Mr. Stankovic, underscoring that it had been agreed at the session that all the agreements that could improve the life and work of people living in the region would be implemented in the coming period.

Among the projects that are to be implemented in Bujanovac this year, particularly emphasized was the construction of the building of Subotica Faculty of Economics’s Department, for what around 1.5 million euros had been provided.
