SESSION OF THE COORDINATION BODY’S PRESIDENCY HELD 26.02.2015.

The session of the Presidency of the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja was today held at the Palace of Serbia.

In addition to Zoran Stankovic, the President of the Coordination Body, the session of the Presidency was attended by the Vice Presidents Nagip Arifi, the Mayor of Bujanovac, Ragmi Mustafa, the Mayor of Presevo, Dragisa Petrovic, the Mayor of Medvedja, the Presidents of the Municipal Assemblies of Presevo and Medvedja, as well as by MP Nenad Mitrovic. The session of the Presidency was, in the capacity of observers, attended by representatives of the EU Delegation to Serbia, the OSCE Mission to Serbia and the Embassies of Great Britain and the United States of America.

Although MPs Riza Halimi and Saip Kamberi had been invited, they failed to attend the session of the Presidency of the Coordination Body.

At the meeting, among other things, reports on the activities of the Coordination Body on the realized budget for 2014 and on distribution of transfer funds to the municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja in 2015 were adopted, as well as the program of the distribution and use of funds of the Coordination Body’s Office.

“The session was launched by summing up the results of last year's work, which the Coordination Body can be satisfied with. In 2015, in addition to the ongoing activities, we will be focused on the beginning of the operation of the outpatient maternity ward in Presevo and on the completion of construction works on the the building of the Faculty of Economics’ Department,” said the President of the Coordination Body. Mr. Stankovic also said that one of the priorities would be the resumption of talks between the Government and the Albanian political leaders on the points that the Government had adopted through the report, but, as he said, “without setting any conditions”.

„This year we will be focused on the projects related to economic development and road infrastructure, too. This year started in that direction with a visit of the high delegation led by the Minister of Economy, "said Mr. Stankovic. The President of the Coordination Body pointed out that he also expected good cooperation with representatives of the local self-governments, as well as with all other relevant entities in those municipalities.

At the meeting of the Presidency of the Coordination Body, transfer funds from the budget were distributed to the municipalities in the following manner: 44.13 per cent of funds to be transferred to Bujanovac, which, in terms of money, amounts to 109,707,180 million dinars; 42.11 per cent of funds to be transferred to Presevo, which, in terms of cash, amounts to 104,685,460 million dinars and 13.75 per cent of funds to be transferred to Medvedja, which amounts to 34,207,360 million dinars.
