SERBIAN NATIONAL FROM DENMARK HANDED OUT 95 HUMANITARIAN PACKAGES TO RESIDENTS OF BUJANOVAC

27. April 2020.

Bujanovac – Raim Bavtiari, our man who has lived in Denmark since 1999, has brought joy to over 95 socially disadvantaged families from Bujanovac  that are living even harder than usual during the coronavirus pandemic.

He, together with his wife Nedmija Gusani, funded and distributed just as many packages containing essential food items.

Mr. Bavtijari comes from Gnjilane, from where he came to Bujanovac before leaving for Denmark, and now he says that he is able to fulfill his wish and help the residents of Bujanovac.

“This action is humanitarian and has nothing to do with politics, because everyone who needs humanitarian aid, regardless of weather he/she is Roma, Albanian or Serbian, will get it,” Mr. Bavtijari says.

He also says that he and his friends went from house to house, so that he could make a list of those who needed the packages.

He was provided with logistical support by Vuk Mitic, the owner of the "Chez Vuk" tavern, as well as by Vuk’s father Dragan.

“We provided free space because the tavern is not working anyway, so that we and our friends helped with packing and distribution because we wanted to help our fellow citizens regardless of their nationality. Because, as Raim said, everyone gets the humanitarian aid,” the Mitics said. .

Mr. Bavtiari says that he is planning more actions like this one. This time, each package contained sugar, oil, rice, soup bags, a container of cocoa cream, biscuits, pasta, coffee, one kilogram of sausages and a bottle of fizzy refreshing beverage.
