SERBIAN GOVERNMENT SUPPORTS THE COORDINATION BODY’S WORK THROUGH THE BUDGET, TOO

22. December 2009.

Despite great savings planned for 2010, the Serbian Government envisaged the greatest increase of funds in its 2010 budget for the work of the Coordination Body for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja. According to the budget that was adopted on December 21, 2009, the Coordination Body is going to have 421,550,000 dinars at its disposal in 2010.

„The fact that under the 2010 budget, the funds for the Serbian President, Prime Minister, National Assembly and Vice Prime Ministers have been decreased, while a 10 per cent increase in the Coordination Body’s budget in comparison with the previous year’s one was proposed, shows best the strategic priorities and affirms the support that the Serbian Government gives to the economic development and integration of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja in political and social trends in  Serbia. Such Government’s support is extremely important to us not only because of the larger funds, which will certainly make it possible for us to accomplish much more than we did in the previous year, but also because of the awareness of Prime Minister and all Ministers’ support regarding the taking of our activities. Without such support, even with much larger funds, it would be difficult to accomplish much. Our top priorities in 2010 will remain education, working with the young, political integrations and economic development, whereas our major partners will continue to be Vice President of the Coordination Body, Saip Kamberi, MP Riza Halimi, presidents of the municipalities of Presevo and Medvedja and representatives of the international community,” Nenad Djurdjevic, Director of the Office of the Serbian Government’s Coordination Body for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, said on the occasion of adoption of the budget at the Serbian Parliament.
