SECONDARY VOCATIONAL SCHOOL "SAINT SAVA" GOT ONE MORE COURSE

Bujanovac - The Ministry of Education approved to the secondary vocational school "Saint Sava" in Bujanovac the opening of another course, so that that there will be 150 vacancies, instead of 120, for first grade students at  the school next school year.

Biserka Jovic, the school principal, said that the Ministry had approved the course for  economic technicians, which had previously existed.

"The Ministry issued a supplement to the call for the admission to secondary schools, by which we got the approval for the re-opening of the course for economic technicians. This means that  we will get another class, "said School Principal Jovic.

She also said that that bit of news was especially important before the taking of the primary school final tests, which future secondary school students would be taking over the first three days of that week.   

Apart from the new  course, students can opt for one of the remaining four, where there are 30 vaccancies in each of them. They include the course for financial administrators, the  course for nurses/teachers, the course of mechanical technicians for motor vehicles and the course for cooks, waiters and confectioners, the completion of which provides the third degree of vocational education. 

At the second secondary school in Bujanovac, which is called "Sezai Surroi," where classes are taught in Albanian, there are vaccancies for 210 first grade students.

The Ministry of Education approved to the school the general grammar school course, as well as the courses for economic, medical, mechanical and electrical engineering professions, while the approval for the opening of the course for electricians, the completion of which ensures the third degree vocational education, is still awaited.   

According to the statistical data of the Department of Education in the municipality of Bujanovac, 2,073 primary and secondary school students attended school in the Serbian language in the 2017/18 school year, as well as 2,759 in the Albanian language.
