RUSSIAN AMBASSADOR TO SERBIA CEPURIN VISITS PRESEVO

14. August 2015.

The Minister for Labor, Employment, Veterans’ and Social Issues Aleksandar Vulin and the Russian Ambassador to Serbia Aleksandar Vasiljevic Cepurin visited the Reception Center for Migrants in Presevo, which received a donation from the Serbian - Russian Humanitarian Center in Nis. Devices for electricity, water tanks, stoves and reflectors were delivered to the Reception Center for Migrants.  Ambassador Cepurin said that Serbia was in a difficult situation due to the influx of migrants, although it didn’t cause it and that's why it needed help, while the only dilemma was whether the influx of migrants would increase and what should be done in that case.

“We have seen that Serbia has found itself in a situation in which it has a lot of costs regarding the migrants here and we understand it. We know why it happened, that is the principle or the history of controlled chaos, but it turned out that the controlled chaos turned into uncontrolled one. Those who brought about the situation with migrants can’t control it now and they wish to further complicate the situation in Ukraine. That is why we have to prepare ourselves for the worsened situation, whereas Serbia has nothing to do with it, and we want to help it and provide support", said the Russian Ambassador to Serbia Aleksandar Cepurin.

Minister Vulin and Ambassador Cepurin laid wreaths at the Memorial to members of the police that got killed in ethnic clashes with members of the Liberation Army of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja in the suburbs of Bujanovac.
