ROUNDABOUT IN 90 DAYS

30. September 2015.

Bujanovac – At the entrance into Bujanovac, at the intersection near the gas station, the construction of a roundabout, which is one of the largest transport investments in Bujanovac over the last few years, began.

Works on the construction of this important transport hub started on September 18, 2015, while, under the project, they are planned to be completed in 90 days.

Professional supervision and control was entrusted to the Traffic Institute CIP, the Ministry of Construction and the Public Enterprise "Roads of Serbia".

The investors of the project, which is worth 87 million dinars, include the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja and the local self- government, while the works were entrusted to the "Saba Belca" company from Presevo.

In addition to the roundabout, the project envisages the construction of access roads, with the emphasis on the Gnjilane road and the road leading to Veliki Trnovac.

“By the implementation of this project, Bujanovac will be connected to Corridor 10, while the route to Gjilane will become a modern road, with the capacity that meets the requirements of the Business Zone and the local community of Veliki Trnovac," said Arber Pajaziti, the Chief of Staff of the Mayor’s Office.

The work schedule is divided into three phases, while the first phase will be completed by the end of this weekend, when the current traffic regime, under which it was difficult to reach the city center through narrow side streets, will cease.
